Palm Hits Back At Apple

One look at Palm’s shiny new Pre and you can guess that folks over at Apple would be hopping mad at the inclusion of the multi-touch display on the Pre. Apple’s COO Tim Cook even went as far as to say that any company that treads on Apple’s IP will probably have to face Apple’s legal might. While that might sound scary to most of us, a Palm spokesperson has shrugged it off saying:

“Palm has a long history of innovation that is reflected in our products and robust patent portfolio and we have long been recognized for our fundamental patents in the mobile space. If faced with legal action, we are confident that we have the tools necessary to defend ourselves.”

We certainly hope that there won’t be any legal battle that would affect this new device that certainly looks exciting, but at least the good news is that Palm looks like it’s going to stand firm before the Pre.
