Ericsson To Build Commercial 4G Network

Ericsson and TeliaSonera have announced that they’ve signed a commercial LTE network, which will cover Sweden’s capital, Stockholm. This contract is Ericsson’s first for a commercial deployment of LTE, and this new 4G network should help users stay connected much more, what with its faster data rates. They have started the roll-out in Stockholm for commercial launch in 2010. Ericsson’s job will be to perform network implementation services and manage the network during the initial operation period. Both parties have also agreed to jointly evolve the way consumers use mobile broadband with LTE.
