Bell Makes Some Bold Claims

Published

Bell might be claiming to be the “fastest and largest network across North America”, but that bold claim seems to have gotten them into a little bit of trouble. The Advertising Standards Canada (ASC) has accused Bell Mobility of going against the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards by claiming such. Rogers was certainly involved in the complaint, though they operate on 2 different networks, with Bell using EV-DO and Rogers HSDPA. Bell was told to withdraw of change the advertising statements, but it responded by saying that its advertising complies with all Canadian legal requirements, and has continued to use the advertising.
