AT&T Spams Its Subscribers

In a move that will certainly annoy its subscribers AT&T has started spamming its customers with text ads. It recently sent out texts to subscribers advertising American Idol. Even worse is the fact that the company is defending itself by stating that it didn’t charge customers for those texts, and that they could easily opt-out by replying “stop”. We’re all fairly familiar with spam in our email inboxes, so somebody needs to tell AT&T that nobody likes spam, regardless of whether we have to pay for it or not.
