Textecution For Android

Published

on

We all know that we’re not supposed to send text messages while we’re behind the wheel, as it’s not only dangerous for ourselves, we might hurt someone else in the process of doing so. That being said, there are still plenty of people out there who insist on sending text messages while driving. eLYK Innovation has come up with a rather nifty application for Google’s Android platform, called Textecution. Said application will run quietly in the background and will use the phone’s GPS system to detect whenever the phone is traveling faster than 10mph, which will result in it locking the phone’s SMS capability. SMS capability will be restored after a few seconds of the phone reaching a standstill. It’s a good idea, and seems quite cool, though there is the question of us not being able to text if we’re taking some form of public transport like the local bus.
