Samsung Mobile Patent Suit In China

In this current economic climate, nobody is going to enjoy being sued, and Samsung certainly won’t be happy with losing the suit that China-based Holley Communication filed against it. Samsung will be required to pay $7.3 million to them for infringing on its patents for dual-mode cell phone technology which allows phones to work on CDMA and GSM networks. Even worse for Samsung, Holley officials have stated that this pay-out is only the first piece of compensation that they would be seeking.
