One Smartphone OS To Rule Them All

Here’s something that might sound a little drastic. Apparently the folks over at AT&T anticipate that by 2014, a very large chunk of their sales will be comprised of smartphones, and as a result, they’re dreaming up a completely AT&T branded smartphone, and there is a very high possibility that it will be running Symbian. It was mentioned that the iPhone (and other phones) are actually third-party devices that take advantage of AT&T services. Of course, this won’t mean that we’ll be seeing a Symbian-powered iPhone. It’s just that AT&T is looking to consolidate its mobile platforms over the next few years.
