NTT DoCoMo Comes Up With New LSI Chip
It looks like LTE has taken another step towards dominating the world in the future, as NTT DoCoMo has announced that it has come up with a trial large-scale-integration (LSI) chip that only uses 0.04W of power, but is able to support MIMO (multiple-in-multiple-out) signal detection and decoding for download transmissions at 100 Mbps, which is the speed that is required for the upcoming mobile system known as Super 3G, or Long Term Evolution (LTE) as we know it. It’s good to know that the good progress in being made in relation to network speeds, as we’d all probably love to download movies on our increasingly-complicated cell phones.
