New Chip From ST-NXP Wireless

ST-NXP Wireless has announced its new chip for phones that looks like bring 3G/UMA to everybody. The new chip, the Cellular System Solution 7210, will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, have an integrated 3 megapixel camera sensor interface, support QVGA display, audio playback and video capture/playback. The 3G UMA chip will give phones the ability to roam and handover between UMTS networks, GSM/EDGE networks and home or business Wi-Fi hotspots.
