Mobile Wallet Memory Card

Those living in Japan might be used to making payments via a cell phone, but we’re not quite there yet. Hopefully with a couple of new developments from Germany, we’ll be taking one step closer to such a situation. A new contactless smart card in a microSD card format has been developed, which will mean that it should work with just about any microSD-supporting handset out there. The smart card will have features such as security access, and the ability to act as a contactless cash wallet. The card will be powered by Near Field Communication from the reader, so it won’t take a toll on the battery life of your mobile phone. We look forward to being able to pay for our groceries by tapping our cell phone at the cash register.
