iPhone 3G Gets Home Activation Again

Having to go to an AT&T store to activate your shiny new iPhone 3G isn’t really that fun and most people would certainly want to ditch the whole process if they could. Fortunately AT&T is now giving users the option of a proper home activation. You’ll finally be able to purchase your phone online, have it shipped to you and activate it yourself via iTunes. The little bit of bad news that goes with this is that it only seems to apply for new account and new line activations, so if you’re looking to upgrade your hardware, you’ll probably still need to pay a visit to the AT&T store.
