India To Get 3G Network

Cell phone users in India will finally have a 3G connection, thanks to the state-owned telecom company, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). The 3G network will be unveiled in the India Telecom 2008 event. MTNL will be offering its premium users in the Delhi area free service for the first 2 months and is planning to have 3G services in the whole region (aside from Mumbai) within a month.
