Curse Of Silence For Symbian Phones

There is a rather serious vulnerability on Nokia S60 phones that has been discovered. Dubbed the Curse of Silence, the exploit could cause Symbian S60 phones to have their SMS and MMS functions totally disabled by sending a simple (albeit well crafted) SMS to any S60-based Nokia handset. Versions affected include S60 2.6, 2.8, 3.0 and 3.1. To make matters even worse, there is currently no known cure, aside from a hard reset, so this is something you certainly don’t want your phone to catch.
