Broadcom Has A New Combo Chip
Broadcom looks like it has come up with a new chip that should set tongues wagging. This new chip will incorporate Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio reception as well as 802.11n wireless connectivity at a maximum of 50Mbps, and if that wasn’t enough, it’s supposed to be quite power efficient too. Don’t expect to see this chip in phones that soon, as phones that will be equipped with this chip will only show up late next year. Broadcom even boasts that their new 802.11n combo chip is even more power efficient that the current crop of 802.11g chips found in phones today.
