BlackBerry Bold Coming To South Korea

RIM’s BlackBerry and other smart phones have been troublesome to market in South Korea due to a rule that requires all devices to carry special software adapted to South Korea’s wireless internet platform and manufacturers have been unwilling to bear the additional cost of modifying their phones. Fortunately this rule will be abolished from April 1st, which should see more smart phones coming to South Korea. Following this, RIM and SK Telecom have announced that the BlackBerry Bold 9000 will be launched on December 29th for corporate customers, which should see BlackBerrys slowly start coming to the South Korean market.
