AT&T And T-Mobile Fined Over Voicemail

Published

AT&T and T-Mobile have both been fined in California over the insecurity of the mobile voicemail services being offered by them. The issue is due to both companies marketing their voicemail as being secure, but undercover agents were able to easily hack into voicemail accounts from both carriers and delete or even alter messages. The result of this is that AT&T has been slapped with a $59,300 fine, T-Mobile with a $25,000 fine and neither will be able to claim that they have secure voicemail systems.
