Amazon iPhone App

Published

on

Amazon has released an iPhone application of its own, which is obviously geared towards getting you to buy more. The application will allow users to keep track of stuff they want to buy and also shop on the one. One peculiarity of the application is that users are asked to send a picture of the object that they’re thinking of purchasing, and the pictures will be sent to Amazon’s data center for recognition and processing. The system will then get back to you within minutes (or hours) with products that are similar to the picture that was sent it. It’s a little weird, but if it helps people buy stuff, then we’re sure Amazon won’t mind.
