13 Others Join Open Handset Alliance
News of Sony Ericsson joining the Open Handset Alliance and plans of it to come up with an Android-powered phone haven’t been around for too long, and the Open Handset Alliance has announced that Sony Ericsson isn’t the only one joining its ranks, as there are a total of 13 other companies doing so. It looks like the Open Handset Alliance is gaining more and more traction, as the companies which just joined are: AKM Semiconductor Inc., ARM, ASUSTek Computer Inc., Atheros Communications, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin International Inc., Huawei Technologies, Omron Software Co. Ltd, Softbank Mobile Corporation, Teleca AB, Toshiba Corporation and Vodafone.
