Samsung Beats Motorola To The Top Spot

Published

By now everybody should know that Motorola is in a bit of a pickle, though it’s always been able to cling on to the title as the top manufacturer in US phone sales, thanks to its RAZR line up. Unfortunately for the big M, Samsung has managed to take even that title away from Motorola, as Samsung’s market share went up from 16.2 percent a year ago to 22.4 percent now, just beating Motorola who has 21.1 percent, which is a big drop from the 32.7 percent it had last year. To make matters worse, LG currently has 20.5 percent, which sure is very close to Motorola’s figures, so not only does the big M have to try and reclaim top spot (however unlikely), it will also have to keep looking over its back for LG.
