Nokia viNe Finally Launched
Nokia’s viNe service was announced a couple of months ago, but it has only just been made available for download today. The new service is basically a souped up version of Nokia’s Sportstracker service, and uses your phone’s built-in GPS receiver to keep track of where you do, what you and upload it to Nokia’s viNe site, sharing it online. The phones that are currently supported include the E71, N78, N79, N82, N85, N95 8GB, and N96, though the N95 and E66 are surprisingly missing from the list. It’s actually quite amazing that people are willing to sign up to a big-brother styled program that will allow your data to be uploaded.
