No Firefox Mobile For The T-Mobile G1?

Firefox is becoming more and more popular, and now people are wondering whether the upcoming Firefox Mobile, a.k.a. Fennec, will run on Android. Unfortunately, the answer to this question is “no”. Mozilla’s Jay Sullivan has mentioned that Fennec will not be available on Android, at least not until Google accepts programs that are not written in Java for Android, as Android currently does not support applications that run directly on the operating system itself. Hopefully they will be able to work something out in the future, and get Fennec running on Android.
