Motorola Retrenches 3000 Workers

Published

on

Motorola definitely isn’t enjoying the best of times, and the recent global credit crunch probably didn’t do it much good. Now Motorola is probably feeling the effects of the credit crunch, as it’s retrenching about 3,000 workers internationally, which should free up about $800 million, and about 11% of these layoffs will come from its struggling handset division. Hopefully this trim will help Motorola get back on track to making cool phones again.
