iPhone 2.2 Firmware Slows 3G And Drains Batt?

There is no official word on this just yet, but it appears that many users are complaining on online forums that the iPhone 2.2 firmware update that was just released has affected the 3G speeds on their iPhones by quite a bit. Some users have even taken the time to do a side-by-side comparison with other iPhones that have not been updated, and have confirmed that the speeds are vastly different. To make matters worse, there are also a few complaints that battery life has dropped significantly, with one user reporting that his battery life dropped from 36 hours to about 9 hours.
