iPhone 2.2 Firmware Has Video Out?
A programming class in the iPhone SDK called MPTVOutWindow has been discovered, and just as its name implies, it allows video to be sent through the Dock Connector to and external source, like an external display. It looks rather obvious that this feature would be geared towards movie viewing, especially since the feature seems to support landscape view more than the iPhone’s default portrait mode. Touch input seems to be disabled under this mode, though the accelerometer is still recognized.
