Apple Ordered To Drop iPhone 3G Advert

We all know that stuff that appears on advertisements are rarely the real thing, but Apple’s advert that claimed that the iPhone 3G was really fast was deemed misleading by the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) in the UK, and they’ve said that the advert must not appear again in the same form. Even though Apple did mention that “network performance may vary” in the disclaimer, it wasn’t enough to save the ad, as it seemed that the advert would lead users to think that the iPhone was really that fast.
