It looks like Apple has scored another win, as research firm Canalys states that Apple has overtaken RIM in Q3 to become the world’s number seller of smartphones, with a cool 17.3 percent market share, over RIM’s 15.2 percent. With the recent Bold and Storm releases, there is a possibility that RIM could bounce back and reclaim the number 2 spot in the next quarter. Regardless of who is sitting at the number 2 spot, it’s going to take a lot to dislodge Symbian at the top spot, which has a whopping 46.6 percent.
