Xperia X1 Passes FCC Hurdle

If you needed additional confirmation that Sony Ericsson’s much-anticipated Xperia X1 phone will be hitting a store near you sometime soon, then you’ll be happy to hear that the FCC has given the phone a nod of approval, though it’s referring to it as the X1i, which means that it’s targeted at Europe, and doesn’t have 3G just yet. While it’s good news to hear that the phone has been approved, it would be nice if they would release a North American version first, for once.
