T-Mobile G1 Expected To Do Better Next Year

Published

on

There were some rather extravagant figures being bandied around a short while ago regarding the pre-sales figures of the Android G1, but this time, the figures should be more accurate, as the person talking about said figures is Peter Chou, chief executive and co-founder of HTC. He has mentioned that HTC is expected to ship over 600,000 G1s this year, though he wouldn’t give an exact figure for 2009, but mentioned that he thought that he could do better next year. One of the things that he thinks that will give the G1 the edge over Apple’s iPhone is the notion that “Americans are very keyboard-oriented”. Will this turn out to be the decisive factor between the G1 and the iPhone?
