No Open Source BlackBerry OS

With the rise of Google’s Android, a lot of people are hoping that RIM would make the BlackBerry OS open-source. While it would be great news for a lot of BlackBerry developers if the BlackBerry OS were to become open source, we just don’t see it happening anytime soon. Apparently RIM already has an open-source team looking to release some code of its development tools, but not the platform itself.
