Is UIQ Dead?

Fans of UIQ might not be happy to hear what Patrick Olson of Sony Ericsson has said at the Symbian Smartphone Show. According to All About Symbian, he has declared that UIQ is dead, and seeing that SE was the main entity promoting UIQ, that sure doesn’t sound good at all for UIQ. Does that mean that Motorola will soon be the lone supporter of UIQ? Motorola has recently released its UIQ-powered Z10, but that obviously doesn’t show that UIQ is safe.
