12 Megapixel Cybershot Phone?

It’s still a rumor, and rightfully so. SEMC Blog is reporting that Sony Ericsson is gearing up for a new Cybershot phone which will sport a 12.1 megapixel camera! According to SEMC, it’ll be announced in Q3 of 2009, and released in Q4 of 2009. With the slew of 8 megapixel phones coming out at the moment, it’s believable that a 12.1 megapixel phone will be out in the future, but this sure smells like a unsubstantiated rumor at the moment.
