Verizon Is Offering Money For Crossovers

It looks like the best way to get people to switch over from a competitor is to offer them money, which should be rather effective. Verizon Wireless is currently offering users “switcher credit” for those who switch over from Sprint or AT&T. This offer is currently for authorized Verizon Wireless dealers, and is not applicable to corporate customers, but that could change soon. It’s a little weird that Verizon is offering $50 credit for someone switching over from Sprint, but will only waive the $35 activation fee if you’re switching over from AT&T. The promotion will run until October 31st, which should be plenty of time for them to gauge the user response to this promotion.
