Swype Text Input For Touch Screens
Many people don’t like the touch screen QWERTY input, as they probably feel that it’s a little fiddly at the moment, but Swype is looking to change all of that with their new input method, which basically allows you to swipe your finger or stylus over the virtual QWERTY keyboard in order to type out the word, and they’re boasting that users will be able to hit 50 words per minute with this input method. With founders such as Cliff Kushler who co-invented the T9 text-entry solution and Randy Marsden the developer of the onscreen keyboard included in Windows, it’s hard not to believe that this input method will become popular in the future.
