Sony Ericsson G705 Goes Official
If you’ve been eagerly waiting Sony Ericsson’s G705, today is your lucky day, as the G705 has finally gone official. While that’s good news and all, the news that the phone is only scheduled to be available in the US around Q1 of 2009 isn’t very nice, especially since it will be released in Q4 elsewhere. To top it off, Sony Ericsson has also announced that they will be releasing a UMA-enabled G705u version of this handset, which will be exclusive on Orange. Specs of the G705 include:
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
- Tri-band 3G in the US version – UMTS/HSUPA 850/1900/2100
- 2.4-inch display
- HTML browser
- Automatic screen-orientation rotation
- Built-in aGPS combined with Google Maps for Mobile and Wayfinder
- WiFi and DLNA certified, Bluetooth 2.0 (A2DP)
- 3.2 megapixel camera with Photo fix and geotagging support
- YouTube compatible – upload video directly to YouTube
