AT&T has released its first military-spec certified Samsung Rugby. With its looks, it sure isn’t going to win any fashion awards, but then again, that probably wasn’t the goal of this phone. The phone does comply with the Military Standard MI-SID-810F (dust, shock vibration, rain, humidity and solar radiation proof along with the ability to hold out at altitude and temperature extremes). The phone will be going for $280 as a standalone handset, but if you’re willing to commit yourself to a 2-year contract, you’ll save $100 off the price of the phone. Specifications of the Samsung Rugby include:

  • Push-to-talk
  • One-way Video Share calling
  • Quad-band UMTS and HSDPA
  • Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity
  • Integrated aGPS
  • 2″ display at 128 x 160 resolution
  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • 128MB internal memory
