iPhone 2.1 Firmware Announced

Apple’s iPhone 2.1 firmware has just been announced, and will be available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Steve Jobs is promising that this update will result in fewer dropped calls, battery improvement and faster backups, unfortunately he didn’t mention anything about copy and paste. The firmware should be released this Friday, though iPod touch owners running firmware prior to v2.0 will have to shell out $9.95 for this update.
