Did John McCain Invent The BlackBerry?

A lot of blogs on the internet are showing reports that a McCain staff claims that John McCain is claiming that he created the BlackBerry. Of course that isn’t true, nor is McCain claiming that he said that. Reports are stating that John McCain’s committee work helped create an environment in the telecommunications industry that allowed for the creation of the BlackBerry, which sounds a lot more plausible.
