Control Your TiVo From Your BlackBerry

While it sure sounds like big news that TiVo and RIM have a partnership, it isn’t going to result in streaming live videos on your BlackBerry anytime soon. The initial announcement only mentions that TiVo users who have a BlackBerry will be able to remotely view program guides and schedule recordings. That sure sounds very anti-climax, especially since you’ll probably want to watch the shows on your BlackBerry, but then again, the feature would come in handy if you forgot to schedule a recording and don’t have time to go home and set it. It’s useful, but certainly not groundbreaking.
