BlackBerry Recommended Over The iPhone

While Apple’s iPhone has been dominating the statistics all over the world, RIM (or AT&T in this case) isn’t going to just let everybody forget about the BlackBerry and its email prowess. In a recent article by Apple Insider, they’ve found that at 11 of the AT&T stores that they visited, employees were twice as likely to initially recommend a BlackBerry Curve or Pearl instead of the iPhone when customers asked them to suggest a phone to “access the Internet and check email”. On the other hand, when it came to the subject of browsing the web, AT&T stores would always recommend the iPhone first. It’s interesting to see how people perceive these phones, and while both phones are capable of doing both (checking email and browsing the web), the way they are perceived often differs greatly.
