Softbank Slashes iPhone 3G Rates

If anybody in Japan needed any encouragement to get an iPhone 3G, this is it. Softbank have just announced that they will be slashing their monthly fee from 7,290 yen (about $67) to a measly 2,900 yen (about $27), which is a reduction of more than 50%. With such aggressive pricing, mobile phone users in Japan will probably take greater note of the iPhone, and who knows, they might even take the plunge and get one over their hi-tech phones.
