iPhone Update Kills Possible Cut And Paste

Published

on

While Apple doesn’t seem to care too much about copy and paste in the iPhone, most iPhone users are doing their best to not pull their hair out at the lack of said function. In view of that, the OpenClip project was probably a great relief to many people. Unfortunately, the latest beta 4 of the upcoming iPhone 2.1 software breaks OpenClip, as it doesn’t allow apps to access the common storage area of other apps. The author of OpenClip is currently looking to alternatives to sort this issue out, and hopefully he’ll succeed. Of course, the real solution would be for Apple to give the iPhone cut and paste functionality, to which they seem determined to ignore.
