iPhone Coming To Russia?

Published

on

Russia news site Vedomosti is reporting that Russia will be selling the iPhone legally next year. This news was supposedly given by Yevgeny Butman, the Moscow director of Apple IMC, the Apple vendor for Russia. Megafona have confirmed that they’re in talks with Apple, though no carrier has officially come out and announced any plans to sell it yet. As usual, the iPhone will be tied to a mobile carrier, same as in other countries. It would be a rather good move for Apple to start selling the iPhone in Russia, as according to market research, there are currently around 470,000 unlocked iPhones already in use in Russia.
