Infineon Chip Causes iPhone 3G Woes

While many iPhone 3G users are complaining that their phones are suffering from poor reception, analyst Richard Windsor of Nomura Securities was busy trying to find out why. The analyst suspects that the Infineon chip in the iPhone 3G might be the culprit, which might be the case, since the chipset supposedly hasn’t really been tested with users, and the problem might be due to an immature chipset and radio protocol stack. Despite all this, Apple has refused to acknowledge any issues with the iPhone 3G.
