Telus, Bell Charging For Incoming Texts

Published

on

Charging customers for incoming text messages might be a common practice in the US, but it sure isn’t common in Canada. It seems that Bell and Telus are determined to change the situation and start charging customers 15 cents per incoming message for anyone not on a messaging plan. Apparently the Canadian industry minister isn’t too happy about this change, and has sent out letters to Bell and Telus’s heads requesting meetings before the changes take effect. Hopefully users won’t have to deal with the extra charges.
