"Official" iPhone 2.0 Firmware Released

Published

on

While there have been some people who managed to snag the iPhone 2.0 firmware off Apple’s servers, and install it, it seems that it caused some problems which include crashes and other nasties. It seems that this time there is an official update being made available to users via iTunes, which sports a slimmer file size and separate designation, which is 1,1 as opposed to 1,2.

This latest firmware, which is supposedly the “official” version, seems a little bit faster, and so far there haven’t been any reports of any major screw ups. So hopefully first generation iPhone users will be able to enjoy iPhone 2.0 without any hiccups this time.
