O2's iPhone 3G Pre-order Site Overwhelmed

It seems that O2’s iPhone 3G pre-order site crashed due to the high demand for pre-orders. When users logged in early in the morning to kick start their pre-orders, they found the site was sluggish, and within a few hours, users who tried to pre-order were greeted with a message telling them that the online shop was currently unavailable, even though the main website was still up.

O2 is currently working in bringing the pre-order site back up as soon as possible, as has told users that they’re confident that they will have enough handsets to cope with demand.
