Ban On Texting While Crossing Streets?

While there were jokes and publicity stunts regarding padded lamp posts to prevent people from walking into something solid while texting, it seems like Ken Dunklin has taken things one step further. The new bill sponsored by him would make it illegal to use a cell phone for text messaging while crossing the street in Illinois. Common sense probably says so, though it’s hard to imagine how it’d be enforced.
