Apple's Appstore To Launch With More Than 500 Apps

Steve Jobs has told USA Today that their latest Apple App Store will be launching with more than 500 applications Thursday night for the iPhone and iPod Touch. 25% of those applications will be free, and 90% of those being sold will cost $9.99 or less. The New York Times is also reporting that about one third of this first wave of applications will be games. Steve Jobs has even labeled this launch “the biggest launch of my career”.
