Apple Not Be Selling The iPhone 3G At Retail Stores In Canada?

It’s really obvious that users and Apple aren’t happy with Rogers’ iPhone 3G rate plans. Apple is already rumored to have diverted a significant portion of Rogers’ iPhone order to Europe. Now, according to this latest bit of news from Apple Insider, it seems that Apple is taking it one step further by not selling the iPhone 3G at their own stores. They will have demo units available at their stores, but that will come as little comfort to users who are dying to own an iPhone 3G.

When an Apple representative was quizzed whether their refusal to sell the iPhone 3G was because of Rogers’ poor service offerings, the reply was “We have nothing to do with the service plans. Those are Rogers’ plans.” Rogers has also issued official statements to try and justify the reason for their exorbitant iPhone 3G plans, but it seems that users and Apple aren’t buying into their story.
