Airports Now Scan For Illlegal Music?

It appears that carrying illegal music around may become a little riskier. According to The Telegraph, it seems that the G8 governments are considering strict new counterfeiting measures, which would allow iPods, mobile phones and laptops to be examined by airport customs officials for illegal downloads.

It seems that the G8 are about to ratify the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (Acta), which would allow customs agents to search users’ laptops or music players for illegally obtained content. It shouldn’t take too long for people to start complaining of privacy issues.
